MidCoast Capital sponsors management buyouts and recapitalizations of middle-market businesses. We are investors and do not propose to manage our portfolio companies on a daily basis. Instead, we work closely with company management to develop winning business strategies and to ensure that the company has adequate capital to successfully execute those strategies.

In general, we consider businesses in the Mid-Atlantic region that have already achieved significant market acceptance and that have the potential to grow more rapidly than their overall industry average. We expect management to be our partners in the investment and to commit a meaningful amount of personal capital to the business.

Our desired investments range from $20 million to $75 million in enterprise value. We are primarily interested in businesses that consistently produce a minimum of $2 million of EBIT annually.
